The Awa-Ai SashikoPants from Studio D’Artisan showcase a traditional Tokushima Aizome dye process. Held as a national treasure, this dye process is specific to Japan’s Tokushima prefecture requiring skilled artisans’ careful manipulation of natural indigofera leaves, resulting in beautiful color variation throughout the fabric. Constructed with SDA’s Heavyweight Sashiko fabric, these pants adopt a classic 5-pocket silhouette, complemented by custom hardware and a natural leather patch.
